I kinda like this color; is just the 6th VE hair color, but with higher contrast and brightness. so it maintains that purple and bluish undertones and it's not just flat white

The way his entrance to the tomb is depicted, it feels like he's stepping into an entirely different word. For once I like the sharp contrast that the overly bright background offers, as if he's stepping through some sort of portal.

Hal Jordan being a putz. I don't know how intentional this one is, but go back to the silver age and he gets knocked over all the time. I feel like this is more trying to give a personality that contrasts hard with others.

Felix has his mothers eyes (since Rodrigue’s are blue) and I think that’s super cute and makes for a good contrast between father and son.

Here's a quick painting I did of
drawn as a mid second-century Roman Cataphractarii. I need to work on my contrast more, but this was pretty fun anyway.

3. master: Tamara de Lempicka
painting: Wide brimmed Hat (1933)

It was harder than I expected to get the shading right! But I learned a lot about contrast.

DESIGN CHALLENGE: design a suit for your friend's character that 1) contrasts nicely against your character's 2) is higher tech 3) won't murder you every time you have to draw it in the future

still a wip, graphic design isn't my strongest ability so it's a whole process lmao

I have a huge 💙 for the 8bit era dirty & creatively detailed style. Creative use of dithering and nice sharp contrasts make them both beautiful and easy to read on the play-ability end. Games like Batman titles, Shatterhand, Vice: Project Doom, and a bunch of the Natsume games.

For example on the shark I look at the arm because of the HUE and VALUE contrast on that edgelight (which looks great!) but you should add more interest on the face unless your focal is the arm!

Aniversario del nacimiento del genial pintor y grabador neerlandés, ( 15/07/1606) El gran maestro del barroco manejaba muy bien la técnica del claroscuro, la cual otorgaba grandes contrastes y cierto dramatismo a sus obras.

[ 2013 > 2020 ]
I've been going through my old laptop and stumbled on my first attempt at moody, high-contrast lighting (left, done in GIMP haha). It's really encouraging to see my artistic growth in these trying times ☀️#fantasyart

Weekly Blood Sugar update! been having fun experimenting with colors and seeing how I can use it to break up panels on a page without boarders as well as contrasting characters. Also page 70, damn.

I decided to remake this illustration, there was obviously a lack of the contrast, it's way more vibrant now)
