@KayWrenPaint Hiya!!
I'm Jay, I do digital art. I enjoy drawing fanart, ocs and I'm currently working on a comic. My fav impulse purchase has to be the tone of manga that i bought a few days ago.
Also thanks for the opportunity to share!!
undertale x inside doodle that is making me laugh bc how utterly different these games are in tone and style
A maw shot testing out half tone shading whilst also trying out something for possibly making custom masks 0w0
Might make this into a ych, but for now I'll be making more for friends when I have the time!

@Kyuubineko95 In my opinion, the ninja turtles have never had a bad tv show, these are all excellent, and are all really different in look and tone. I hope the success of Rise will get more people into these shows, would definitely help the push to keep Rise going, or at the very least-
I think I'm going to revisit this green gal 2 tone style and update it to my current look.
Biar lebih dramatis, aku kasih red tone sama blue tone buat shadow nya. Biar warnanya lebih heboh :') it's pretty much done. Kamu bisa stop disini atau tambah detail lagi. That's all up yo you ^_^ aku disini tambah makeup sedikit :)
Dah tu kasih base skin tone yang kamu mau. Setelah base aku kasi dia sedikit highlight+shadow. Aku pake airbrush tool yaa buat shading sama highlight nya. Buat saat ini fokus ke mukanya aka yaa ^_^
I decided to tone down the black shading a bit from now on, so have a sketch of a boi.

Snapchat filter gave me another hair tone lol (the real me haves a very dark hair).
Watched the Dragon's Dogma Anime. As someone who hasn't played much of the game, it had some cool ideas and I appreciated the darker tone it tried to carry.
However, the show just kind of happens & doesn't really give much of a taste to anything. Only DD Super-fans need apply.
So what some artists will do is lighten the hard light colors some more to avoid having a muddy saturated mess, and what we get next is.... this. Like, technically its a skin tone but we've whitewashed her a bit and we've lost the original value
So we've got our two girls. Most tutorials for this technique use white skin as a base, so most people learn to use 'base skin tone but slightly lighter/desaturated' on a hard light layer. However when you do this on black skin you notice straight away it doesnt work
So idk how many people know but moooost comic colorists will use a super fast technique that basically involves cutting out huge swathes of canvas with the lasso tool and lightening them on a layer mode. So you start with the darkest skin tone and work from there
Was trying out a new method of coloring skin tone and I actually really like how it turned out!
