im not all for shading but

i kinda use multiply when shading and overlay my drawing on a fading background

it makes it look good

Both have multiply and for lighting i dont add too much but all i rlly need is a shine on the eyes using add layers

For the amount of unique animations I like to use in my project, creating varied sprites can result in hundreds of unique variations of a single action. by seperating the players weapon from the main sprite, this can be avoided, and also helps keep its code seperate.
