and shading you need to find the type the fits better on your style I like to use a really basic cel shading but you can always study how light works in different objects to make look more realistic I learned this from @/CanalBrushRush

Many species of Owl have asymmetrically positioned ears. This allows them to locate sounds more accurately because sounds reach each ear at adifferent time.

The owls' brain then processes this information enabling them to pinpoint even unseen objects / prey.

To make interactable game objects and characters stand out even more from the background like these thorns I'm thinking of doing them in a kind of different style. Mainly they'll be lined and be more colorful. The background is lineless and desaturated.

The backgrounds in the sidescroller Legend of Zelda CDI games are actual physical paintings by illustrator Rob Dunlavey, with level collision placed over the drawn objects and individually animated water / fire effects. I think it's quite a beautiful and interesting method.

so the advantage is slightly with the flash. he knows of opponents much like magneto in the flash gallery.. Magenta

whereas while Magneto has faced speedsters.. they didn't have the speed force or flash's ability to vibrate through objects like the vision or kitty can.
