明暦3(1657)年。江戸城天守閣と市街のほとんどを焼失させ、死者数10万人以上にも及ぶ火事がこの日発生。諸説ありますが、｢振袖をめぐる不思議な祟話｣が代表的なことから"振袖火事"とも呼びます。
