Fun fact! This is the first of a small batch of episodes shot on 35mm film. The series was typically shot on 16mm, which is cheaper, but doesn't carry quite the same clarity due to its size. In Kai, the difference in clarity between this and the prior episode is astounding.

Blu-ray『桃太郎 海の神兵／くもとちゅうりっぷ』到着。僕のお目当ては後者で、映像素材は35mmでなく16mmマスターポジからということだが、なかなかどうしての修復画質＆音質。ひとコマ、撮影時に入りこんだ指が映ってた（笑）。
