As a coloring exercise I tried to replicate old 4 color comic coloring used in the 50's and 60's. Mixing the CMY at different % wasn't the challenge. What i found tough was replicating the ben day dots and newsprint paper. Here's what I came up with...

Weird, slick and vibrant is how I'd describe the fashion within Volaris. Here are some examples of the type of wacky garbage that happens to be popular in the 2150's. Some more avant garde than others.

Sometimes it amazes me how much I don't understand my own brain. I used artificial intelligence to render images of fake science fiction novel covers in the style of the 1950's, 60's, and 70's, and now my brain has gone into a feedback loop from which I cannot escape.

On Auction starting at 1 This is the first in a series of images paying homage to 1950's and 60's science fiction book cover art!

Exactly! When I think of Eero Saarinen I think of the Neo-futurist style of the 1950's. Interestingly, he won a furniture design competition along with Charles Eames for their Tulip Chair which influenced the set design of 2001 Space Odyssey. Definitely Mid-Century Jetsons! 😊

Thanks for hosting! I'm writing a sci-fi novel that features my OCs, Jennifer and Afanda!

Jennifer has the ability to create blackholes after being transported to the 1950's

Afanda is powerful force of nature after her father tried to kill her with an experimental weapon

https://t.co/9qrlDetQkj — Toru Fukuda is an illustrator doing UPA 50's illustration but cutter. It's my favourite style. So much fun.

Also, you know how many pages of the whole Endgame arc were actually DRAWN by Ken?
A grand total of TWO. PAGES. Both in issue 50, and it was only because gimmick was that every writer and artist contributed something to it. Dave Manak and Ken contributed the least pages tho
