This is Compsognathus, a small (1.5 m long), active predator. This illustration will appear in my book but is also part of 6 dinosaur recons I just licensed to be used in a museum exhibit. Have I told you how much I like compsognathids? 😋

Personal work. A Compsognathus fossil, once thought to be discovered carrying an embryo, was later found to be housing the skeleton of a Bavarisaurus lizard that had been swallowed whole.
