What’s insane for me to think about is that these properties (the original incarnations anyway) will enter the public domain in the next decade, and it would have already happened in the 2010s had Disney not gotten the copyright extended to protect Mickey.

2012: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
Another tough year, but JoJo’s anime got me into the franchise which has now been an obsession of mine for a decade, so it’s gotta be it. Even if subsequent parts are even better, the first season has some of the most iconic moments anime-wise.
2009: Dragon Age Origins
Definitely the standout game for me for that year, and set a path for a series of incredible RPGs that I've loved for over a decade, even if it took a few more games to get as queer as I'd like
