i've seen some discussion on whether characters v1 or v8 designs are better...

personally what bums me out in later volumes is how little characters use their personal colours in outfits and just wear desaturated or grey/brown/white colours instead.

alright.... so ! explaining sum design choices, gave him slightly more desaturated colors 2 fit the sorta "necromancer" vibe, added some skull motifs and matched some colors to one another to make it look sort of continuous :] said "hit with botched spell" so eye scar

- overall, while her local colors seem to be brown skin, white details + hair, and a green dress, she’s so desaturated & dark that she really easily takes on the colors around her. i think it’s why official renders & depictions of her vary so heavily (& it makes her hard to draw)
