Let’s go over this mysterious dragon found on the box art of DQ1 for the Famicom.

The dragon itself almost looks exactly like Dragonlord’s final form, but with major differences such as: It’s color palette, the four claws instead of three, and generally being more rounded.

Around the end of DQ11, the Yggdragon states that an inevitable darkness may corrupt her in the future and will need to be stopped.

Because of this, there’s a chance that Yggdragon has a possible connection with either Dragonlord from DQ1, the Dragon Queen from DQ3 or both.
