เอี่ยวๆ อยู่กับคำว่า ดินดอนปากแม่น้ำ (delta) หมายถึง แผ่นดินที่เกิดจากการสะสมของตะกอนจำพวกโคลนและทรายที่ปากแม่น้ำ

ประโยชน์คือ... ถ้ามี delta วาฬจะไม่ทะลึ่งว่ายเข้าไปในแม่น้ำ---
