Quiet morning here in MotherKopos house as MotherKopo works away. So I've ended up spending some more time on my conlang of Trendian.
Trying to formalise and get the fundamentals of the language structure established. see below for more info (1/5 - ran out of space)
@castlehavven These three helped me to get stuff done instead of endless fundamentals grinding.

My Artsummary of 2022!
the year I've finally designed an outfit for Kiara XD boy that was a ride
I feel like I learned a lot this year, having drawn a LOT of clothing designs, and I've (finally) started practicing my fundamentals too

Kazuya but I imagine him as Xiaoyu's kotobukiya figurine [no planning to finish due to burnout and improving fundamentals] #TEKKEN #Kazuyamishima #rkgk #三島一也
@Im_Shroomer Honestly, you just need to learn fundamentals and practice. There are definitely things worth learning. Like color theory, perspective, anatomy but you can also do so online. I personally only know from learning online and high school art classes, and I'm entirely self-taught.
#skillnottalent 2014 vs. 2022
I spent years studying my fundamentals and making terrible drawings on the phone my parents bought me. I loved the process and kept at it, and younger me would lose his mind if he could see me now.
#SkillNotTalent 2016 vs 2022
I used to get super frustrated because I 'wasn't good at art' and was jealous of people with 'talent.' Only in the last 3 years did I start to *really* focus on practicing fundamentals and start seeing a big improvement.
@LadyLowrely Thank you for the artshare! 💛
For 2023, I wish to develop solid art fundamentals, I want to get better especially at anatomy, perspective, and painting in general, and I want to learn to paint architectural elements.
Also I'm planning to open comms very soon. 💛
Many moons ago I worked with Paolo Pantalena on Jirni for Aspen Comics. I really enjoyed coloring this series. Peter Steigerwald taught me a lot during this period in not only learning the Aspen house style but also about the fundamentals of working the warms & cools. Good times!
1 year progress
I'm a little embarrassed to see my old art, but I can see how important practice and working on fundamentals has helped me improve. I still have ways to go, but I'm proud of myself
@BrownOniiChan @JonLamArt Do people really think drawing is just combining images in your head and drawing it on paper? First you need the actual skill to draw what you imagine your head on paper, and that takes practice and learning the fundamentals. Something AI doesn’t do, just look at these hands.
@EwylanaR January, April, June, November.
June was the first time when I let myself really dive into it, work on a piece sparing absolutely no effort, and let my love for baroque art take over.
For the next year I wish to achieve solid art fundamentals, and I'm planning to open comms. 💛
I have to admit, even the raw stuff is very impressive.
Generic sometimes, but still can be a good base for painters with good fundamentals.
The commercial market will shrink by 95% in less than a year though, brace yourselves 💀
Today's artist of the day is @Itique2!!! They have a very fun style that is extremely unique, yet still feels very modern! They also show off very impressive lighting! The shading isn't just beautiful, but also amazingly accurate to lighting fundamentals!
Pls follow this artist!
Random sketches - it has been a while since I last uploaded something ✨
Sloowly trying to cover the holes in my fundamentals - and experiment in the process!
