I just had this dream that I was playing Animal Crossing and I encountered Flick's brother Flighty. A taller, yellow lizard fella. He annoyed the shit outta Flick, who hoped he'd never find him on my island, but Flighty flies everywhere.

Rapidly flickering between spooky images is way scarier than just showing a still spooky image. Horror anime should use this trick for more intense spooky scenes. It allows you to zoom in on a close up of a monster, while still preserving the vagueness that makes it scary.
