Honestly I think it was a really smart call to have Norman Osborn inspired by eastern kabuki masks. It's difficult to apply any kind of logic to Green Goblin's mask but they made it work effectively.

Looking back into it, as good as it was most of the stuff skipped in Goblin Slayer season 1 and Goblin's Crown were Erufu scenes and that is not ok. If season 2 skips this scene I am going to sue White Fox or whatever studio is doing it.
