Growing up on Gradius, I never knew there was a sequel. Picked up Lifeforce recently at the video game store. Its tough! Finally got to the second stage and it switches perspectives to an ikaruga style shooter. Little me wouldve flipped over this.

@le_bouffrog @odorutora3 @QUEADLUUNRAU Yeah, like a lot of Manga Artist he got his start in H-Doujins and his earlier work is very Fanservice heavy. He also did the art for the Otomedius series, a sexy anime version of Gradius that Konami hasn't touched in 10 years.

@goattrain Yeah! She, or a variant of her, appears in just about every game in the series. She's actually based off of a monster called the Shadow Dancer, which is itself in almost every Gradius game near the end.
She's way cuter, though, and that's coming from someone into robots.

Another canned game I worked on for a little while! This one was the first time using Unreal and got to learn to use blueprints to program. It was a side-scrolling shooter like Gradius starring a space-magical girl fighting lovecraftian monsters. #gamedev
