My inspiration for the piece came from the fact of how ZhongLi gifted Azhdaha sight. I wished to draw the moment Azhdaha would be able to see the light for the first time, with ZhongLi by his side.

Watched over Liyue for all these years...

I drew Zhongli watching over Liyue in all its beauty. He spent so much time taking care of Liyue to the point he really did need to break away from those responsibilities.

When I read there's another art contest for my favorite character I just had to draw this scene in which Paimon brags about Zhongli out of nowhere. Really made me wonder how he felt about this whole thing. 😂

This took me like ~15h I think.

Zhongli sure is lucky to have an old friend like him. As their good ol' days, I drew them on a floating island with Geo mountains on the back, which I seem cute for them to sleep on and relax peacefully.~
