Aries has lightly tanned skin and a one color palette of pink with red highlights, and lei is the same, but with gray n black. I havent colored them yet so sorry ab the block of text ^^*

Besides your obviously amazing work on Planescape, I lament the fact that many people forget how ubiquitous your art was in the Monstrous Manual (the best monster book ever IMHO).

Many highlights, but to me your Hobgoblin and Bugbear are definitive looks for both.

I still hand-draw everything, but I use digital for line art (pen tool) and then add flats, then the rest (highlights, shadows, etc.).

Sorry if this has been pointed out already;
But it looks like they tweaked SG Kai'sa's face on her splash art on PBE! Her makeup seems lighter, and they made her face less angular! It also looks like they added more highlights, too! She looks beautiful 🥺💕💫💖

🏔️ For the upper half of this image, the background was created using multiple renditions of through which I then upscaled through Gigapixel. I went into & hand painted to define textures, shapes, highlights, & shadows.

The way Jojo is adapted now is more what you'd see with other anime, where they replicate the style 1:1 and just add color to it.

Part 3 was also really accurate but the anime designers quirks were more apparent, detailed metallic like shading, highlights, triangular look etc.

cheatsy: 1) put all coluring on one later. 2) copy and darken the new layer and adjust hue/saturation etc 3) erase for highlights, wary of eraser hardness, size and density for fabrics, and other surfaces etc. super quick but looks okay!
