@SamSantala YEAH, I love the Seeks too in their Tactics iteration, Also wish we had playable moogles 😭Ivalice is such a rich place of world design. ALways love haning around Ul'Dah to get the vibes
i'm a duo blue mage/white mage with an ivalice fashion aesthetic for sure (ashe-leaning) https://t.co/L46ZPrzobp
Finishing up the Eden Raids in FFXIV later today and *possibly* starting the Ivalice content as well!
Most likely around 8 PM EST c:
The funny thing about these parody comics about Final Fantasy XII's license board is that they fail to understand that there is a reason in lore behind the license board. The licenses are supposed to imply the amount of control the Archadian Judges have over Ivalice.
Final Fantasy games set in Ivalice were the peak of Final Fantasy for me, at least in terms of visuals and art direction.
The Ivalice world is so inspired, if we had seen a game today with this same level of architectural or stylistic sense, we'd be all over it
Just look at this stuff coming from Ivalice concept arts. We are lucky the art director ended up working on FFXIV, but I wanted to see more of this for sure. I would have loved to see another dark fantasy take on this like in Vagrant Story
It really is unfortunate that the world of Ivalice was hardly ever used after Final Fantasy XII.
This was an absolute slam dunk of unique architectural sense that is highly underappreciated. It should have been featured in more RPGs.
@fyodostoyevsky @rabidwooloo It striaght up IS Penelo's, guy second from the left is THE BASCH FON RONSENBURG OF DALMASCA!
Are these new sub reward costumes? Or just Ivalice armor sets?
The other Occuria, led by Gerun, sought to destroy the traitor and keep their control over Ivalice, so they sought Ashe and manipulated her grief to destroy the Empire entirely with the use of the nethicite.
I know Chrono Trigger is so ubiquitous but I think it has more to do with Ivalice as a possible connection, which actually makes sense as it is in actual final fantasy games, and also they were the lands of people who sealed themselves away from the influence of gods https://t.co/yuAeAjWtLN
Akihiko Yoshida, character designer of Ivalice games (FFT, FFXII, Vagrant Story), has illustrated the magnificent posters for the last three FFXIV expansions.
He also used to be the art director of FF14 1.0, but was succeeded by Hiroshi Minagawa, also an Ivalice art director.
Ivalice, my beloved.
(Yes, I even like the bad one. Together, they form a whole picture). https://t.co/1kfxnMnYyo
#FinalFantasyTactics's character design and art direction were absolutely brilliant. Just look at these jobs!
