I kind of miss Zoophobia by . Especially some of the characters. Because of the animated short and for nostalgia, I drew Keiko the school nurse. She didn't have much appearances in the comic, and she is basically a docile Kuchisake-Oona, so I find her intriguing.

692 - As Kishimoto intended to create the Akatsuki as monstrous designs, Kakuzu was likely based off of Kuchisake-onna, a demon spirit of a woman whose face is slit open from the edges of her lips. Kakuzu shares this but keeps it stitched shut or under a mask

My interpretation of the Kuchisake-onna or "Slit-Mouthed Woman", she is a malevolent figure in japanese legends and folklore.
She usually partially covers her face with a mask.

I'm revamping the Kowabana merchandise store in anticipation of some new designs this year, and first up is Kuchisake-onna! We have a new Kowabana seal that marks our merch as well :D

Next up, a personal favourite of mine - the Japanese urban legend Kuchisake-onna. She was really fun to draw. I love the stories surrounding her, though I think they are really sad.
