The scarf is a result of all the efforts from the New World Commission, The Guild, her friends and family, specially Meishu, that she is still alive in this world.
Okami never let go of the scarf for it was originally from her brother's, that became the very thing that saved her

A rescue operation was held in order to save Okami from the clutches of the wicked dragon.
Meishu, Aiden, Cole, Zelenne, and the commission's efforts resulted of a special tool to seal and destroy the armor, the operation was a success, but not without its casualties.
Okami has a brother named Meishu (that i never find a chance to draw him ever again). He's my Portable 3rd hunter.
Meishu's now retired from hunting when his left forearm was dismembered from saving Okami from the Fatalis curse.

I cannot overstate how much I WISH I could learn to model in this specific model quality/style and also do concept art in this early 2000s animeish art style, where use of bright color is abundant, and where gearset design is focused on making it bulky and readable!
