Tonight, from 1921, directed by F.W. Muranu, it's THE HAUNTED CASTLE!
Scandals and murder threats rock an upper-class party in a really spooky castle!
One of Murnau's earliest surviving films, though his eighth picture overall.

And as a ghoulish footnote, Murnau’s skull was stolen from its grave in Germany. Rumoured to have been stolen by German occultists due to Murnau’s connection with the occult funded “Nosferatu.”

But Murnau’s work is so much more than that one infamous film.

Hmmm... Murnau’s “Faust” (1926) or Christensen's “Häxan?” (1920-22).

Both brilliant. But which one would I choose to put in my top three devilry/possession/demonic film choice? Tough choice.
