The name 'Turtle Island’ for North America was first recorded in the 1600s by an Anishinaabe tribal tale recorded on the birch bark scrolls. ‘Turtle Island’ today is used by many Native tribes, Native rights activists, & Environmental activists. #WetTribe #TurtleTuesday
