Interestingly, an ever-so-slightly different version of this painting is on display here too! A gift to the old Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Museum from Major John Howard in 1983

Here is a simple sketch on how those Oxfordian Summerville Fm. trackways are formed.

Link is to a report on a site at the base of the Morrison pterosaur tracks with sauropod tracks that we found at Flaming Gorge way back in 2002.

Did you know that William Morris designed the ceiling of the Oxford Union debating hall? The murals were painted between 1857 and 1859 by a team of young artists including Rossetti, Morris and Burne-Jones. Morris' design depicts Acanthus leaves swirling around a central pole.

The Zodiac crabs in Medieval calendars would have been available. Some tended to look a bit like lobsters, but many did look (quite) like crabs.

If crabs were transported from the coast to Oxford, would they have "gone off" by the time they arrived? Whether by boat or road.

One of the new evil mutants is Stinger, who is portrayed as a valley girl. I’m not sure about her speech patterns though, and it would help if the writers wouldn’t misspell “grody” as “groadie”. Clearly the Oxford English Dictionary hadn’t been updated yet!
