America can be hard on those who are different. Over years, I've watched those who I care about who are minorities or LGBTQ grow up, and I get the sense that as adults, they all are affected by PTSD. Not destroyed, but wounded. I could be wrong, but there is pain, and it shows!

I have PTSD.
When something actually triggers it, then yeah I can "turn off".
When not, I still laugh and cry and smile. I get angry. If I'm hungry, hot, tired, whatever...I emote.

I drove 16 hours today. Everything hurts. If I sleep,I have vivid, horrifying night terrors directly related to my PTSD. I just want to sleep for a couple hours and not feel like I am in hell. I want to feel safe.
