This massive antique post-impressionist seascape hangs over my desk. It has a bit of damage but was a steal at $5 from the flea market. I’m forever in awe of those bold brushstrokes in the water. It’s like the painting is dancing. (Close up)

Roderic O’Conor (1860-1940) Romeo & Juliet. O’Conor was an important post-impressionist based in France of Gaelic aristocratic stock. It was only after his wife’s death that his work became known. He loved painting female nudes but I think this work sums up love!
