⚜An English painter of French birth and Spanish ancestry who initially worked in the Pre-Raphaelite style before moving towards the historical genre. He was the Keeper of the Royal Academy in London.
Jamaican born, Fanny Eaton (1835-1924) is the focus of this #SisterhoodSunday. An important Pre-Raphaelite muse and model, she has only recently begun to be recovered to her rightful place in Art History. Eaton regularly modelled for the Pre-Raphs and others at the Royal Academy.
