I love both versions. The one from 1997 it's a mixture between a mantaray and a bird. The second version it's a mantaray but with two remoraids in its fins. The second, also, mixes the concepts of remora fishes fixed in a mantagray and a bomber aircraft.

Remoraid's Japanese name is Teppouo, meaning "Watergun Fish." This is likely because in Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, his original design was based on a revolver.
