アンは自分の質素な黒のタモシャンター帽（Tam O'Shanter）がダイアナの毛皮の帽子と比べておしゃれじゃないのをちょっと悲しく思ったけど、19世紀末～20世紀前半のタモシャンター帽、オーバーサイズ感がすごく可愛い。ピーターラビットのいとこのベンジャミンも似たような帽子かぶってましたね。

The Cutty Sark was named after a scanty shirt worn by a lush Scots witch, Nannie Dee, as she danced. A drunken Tam O'Shanter was riding by & aroused, shouted "Weel done Cutty Sark!"
Nannie & her witch pals took chase but he escaped over the river, his poor horse minus its tail 🐎

'Scarcely had he Meggie rallied', 'When out the hellish legion sallied.' Tam escaped from the witch Cutty Sark with his life, brave Meggie minus her tail.
