Jumping back to anatomy, they are all very boxy, not bad on it's own but you should really branch out. Your visual library is lacking severly in many places.

As i work on MSP, my sketches must be worked on until they resemble the final drawing's pure lineart, if i had layers, they would be made not only faster, but with better anatomy, as i would not tire myself to make a clean line

its a silly creature that I can use both for cute and scary stuff. Looks human but is alien and filled with weird body horror anatomy, including and expanding serpentine neck, hooked beak instead of teeth and dino feet. It's a pretty random design but i have fun drawing it.

He and Jim Lee have very similar strengths imo. The muscle structure is impeccable, how he draws hair, and how he always nails it with pieces featuring characters standing in the rain! His pieces to me are almost just godlike in anatomy, poses, etc.

The important part is knowing how shadow works, i learned it by observing it on 3d basic shapes, simplified anatomy (that use basic shapes), planes of the head for head anatomy, etc.
