The Dark Knight Returns animated film is better than The Killing Joke. But modern animation's inability to capture the "cinematography" of comic art's dynamic storyboarding is so frustrating.

Batman for me is SO driven by visual inventiveness and this just does not cut it.

Still on time for the sixth day. Anybody remember Nippon Animation's version of the Little Women novel? Amy sure is having quiet the trip here. The story is set the 19th Century, animated in the late 20th Century but wearing a futuristic plugsuit from the early 21th Century.

The remarkable thing is that even though the level of animation's ~way~ up even from the astonishing levels found in Yumimi Mix Remix it really is still all "live" pixel art - look at this example, one full scene and then the same image with different layers turned off
