well i based my stuff from the manga artstyle and the '05 anime version is the closest to the manga artstyle. in fact i think i rarely interact / see the '79 artstyle unless its in the movies

@softshikioni It has always been a thing, it's not as mainstream as popular designs and it's always relegated to side or background characters though.

USS Hornet and USS Wasp--of the Essex Class!
The two rarely operated in the same Task Group, but there's no doubt that they were very close to each other.
The Hornet here acts as flight deck officer while Wasp works as the LSO.
They both liked how the props buzzing, like, bees.
After done the basic light and shadow study, I usually do color replace practice for light and shadow. But I rarely post them. Because I use artworks from games or other artists for reference/copy objects.🙏🏻
