IMO the lighting on the third panel is being used for a mood effect (he is angry, his face is darkened. it enhances the emotion). the hair is such a minor inconsistency i don't feel it even needs to be explained. it looks to me like the strand was already there but laying flat

I'm in support of holding UAF accountable for its artstyle, but it's worth noting that brightening an already-darkened image doesn't work. Most UAF bgs seem to be drawn as-is, and THEN darkened, ruining the finer details. But without the source file, those details are lost to us. https://t.co/sehWeNx8x0

Day 105: Food sketch
I think highlighting/darkening along a "texture" line like you would draw a figure along an action line makes texturing look more realistic. The sinew in the middle right is my favorite so far.
