This day 4 October 1646 death of Thomas Howard, 14th Earl of Arundel, a prominent English courtier AND patron of Inigo Jones. Howard made his name as a Grand Tourist & art collector rather than politician, during the reigns of James I & Charles I and once resided in Greenwich.
