@steppingdisks The writer that made me love Ilyana was Kieron Gillen. She was tragic, dark and kind of a jerk, in a sad way. It sold me hard on the character. Bendis followed up in his own way with the sad.
So I think I like how sad the character can be behind her strength.

I don’t know how the artists I work with feel, but I love writing Bendis-style double page spreads. I try to put one in every new project (usually pages 2 & 3)
For me, the trick is to have one epic splash panel that draws the eye, and satellite panels that tell the story.

This week has made me realize that almost nobody remembers Bendis, the creator and originator of Marvel's Illuminati team, doing several event comics chronicling his own DC iteration of the eclectic team(s) in the shadows that deals with big sprawling shit.
I'm wary of Dis+'s output, and there was a lot I liked about the Netflix series- but was also a lot I felt was missing. We did tributes to Frank Miller, Bendis, Smith.

The name of the story is called "A Study in Scarlet" contrary to what is shown years later in Brian Michael Bendis' Avengers: Disassembled (2004), Wanda knew about her children and overcomes her grief. Obviously the writer ignored it and all this led to M-Day+
