And another local connection - Sarah T's father was Joshua Kirby, a friend of William Hogarth who had a house in Chiswick (now open to the public). Hogarth encouraged the young JK and produced frontispieces for his books on perspective - check out the attached! https://t.co/alqtDypnYV
Four historic cars that might (or not) help people drive in floods:
1. The Penguin, Canada, 1963
2. The Quandt Group Amphicar of 1961
3. Mr Clive Talbot of Chiswick's 1959 Thames car
4. And if things get really bad, a Sea Car of the Land & Sea Car Company of Cleethorpes Ltd, 1923
Ever stopped to wonder who is the mysterious head who peers between the curtains of George Knapton’s portait of Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington? And is it the same lady who is the model for the bust at Chiswick House & in the lost W. Kent altarpiece at St Clement Danes?

@AdamCastlegate Thank you Adam. It was my pleasure. Chiswick House is so much in my DNA that it feels like a home from home. As an architectural space it leaves me feeling energised. It is an old friend that I will return to again and again. A place of beauty that never fails to inspire me.
