animal antics honestly is one of the most memorable levels in DKC2 because it's a cool way to give the players a gauntlet of every animal buddy but god did the squawks section have to be accompanied by that damn wind

As revealed by Gregg Mayles, a "Banana Animal" menagerie was considered for Donkey Kong Country 2. Banana Birds were revived as a collectible by the subsequent DKC3 team, while Retro Studios would hit upon something close to the original intent for their Banana Sprites!
