Just an assembly from arts with my character from HTTYD - Buttercup ♥
She has a cross-shaped scar on her head that prevents her from using echolocation that other dragons use.
長い間ラフのままだったフクロウちゃんと描き上げた!!!
ゲーム中では画面外から静かに速くコウモリめがけて飛んできます🦇 🦉💨💨
見比べると面白いからラフも一緒に

Day 18 of #smaugust2020.
A glowing terror of the night. These dragons use echolocation to track their targets and use their tentacle like limbs to secure and kill it's victim. They look rather frightening in the dark and many farmers lament the loss of their livestock to them.
so this is Kori
and while she calls herself a bat
her bright blue glowing blood doesn’t contain any identifiable animal dna
for this reason her actual species classification is dragon
she can still fly and use echolocation
but ye
meet Valerie!!
she is blind, but she’s very good at echolocation. Her weapon of choice is a small poisonous dart gun
Bats and dolphins evolved echolocation in the same way (down to the molecular level). An analysis revealed that 200 genes had independently changed in the same way and this is an extreme example of convergent evolution https://t.co/dK4loETTMG
@eatgumchewass Ke'i! A blind siren who sings as echolocation. He's very quiet, serene, and is trying to find a purpose other than wandering the seas.
I want to work on Echolocation. But I need to finish Equilibrium. But I wanna work on Echolocation soooo bad. But I must!! finish!! Equilibrium!!!!
I saw this on my timeline-!! :0
Put your OC/FC next to their powers/skills/abilities!
Stars is an excellent flyer (on a good day she can create a sonic boom), has echolocation, and can walk on any flat surface 👌🏽
I found this on Reddit and it's cracking me up. Apparently different bat species make different echolocation squeaks but the thought of a bat going "HUE! HUE! HUE!" is just too much.
@AshPoust @HabitualDoodles @Yara_Haridy I can't speak for land mammals, but in odontocetes, they have tons and tons of sinuses in front of their brain to either 1) protect the brain from sounds produced for echolocation and/or 2) reduce bone conducted sounds from interfering with hearing by making "mirror" of air
Happy #WorldDolphinDay! The melon in #dolphins and other Odontocetes (toothed whales) is a mass of adipose tissue located in the forehead. It acts as a sound lens, modulating and focusing sounds used in #echolocation.

my BNHA OC uvu
Dinara (Dina) Ivankov
Hero Name: BloodHound
She's blind and has a quirk mutation that heightens her sense of smell and hearing (echolocation). People she smells has certain colors (in a sense, synesthesia) and she can determine who is who by their colors. (1/2)
Introducing Sonya!
She’s a loud/kinda ditzy bat person who loves eating pomegranate, and cuddles
She can’t see 2 feet in front of her, so she wears glasses, but she doesn’t like them very much, so you’ll likely hear her using echolocation to get around
