As I stated in my first art breakdown (link below), every piece I create is an opportunity to create something better than my previous works and improve my skills.
I used this piece to tackle backgrounds more and also work on my perspective and foreshortening

2.) Foreshortening

Like I said, Miwa does A LOT of Foreshortening and honestly it just makes it look so cool! Cause foreshortening is an art skill that I believe everyone should gain and as someone who is trying to improve my own. OMG Miwa is a great reference.

1.) Dynamic poses

If you haven't seen Shirow Miwa's art. It's basically all dynamic and foreshortening in cool poses with floaty yet sharp physics and it's such a unique stylized take and it's just so, so good.

This piece was a big jump for me because I had to essentially learn about perspective and I had to be brave and use a 3d resource to help train my eye! So I overall came away from this piece knowing more about reference and foreshortening!

Late submission for Yesterday was “fem” and today’s is “wearing makeup” so hey I combined them~

Also foreshortening is so challenging 😰 I redrew these poses 6 times before I finally coloured it 😩 I think it came out okay?

Thanks! There was some back and forth, and foreshortening is always challenging to me (and yes, to me is ok to trace over pictures and 3d models). And I've been learning with the most dramatic pose is the better one!

Tried to play around with baggy clothes and a bit more foreshortening. Lighting is still a bit of a struggle Also love a good color triad. Gonna work on a gnome dnd character next!

Foreshortening is still, and will always be a b*tch tbh, but here's another GlamBon. This time it's 's Bonnie, aka Bryce.
