The Gem Fossil, Galea Fossil, and Tail Fossil. They are the first trio of fossils that can be dug up in the Agrios Region! What prehistoric creatures do you think could be revived from these? #PokemonSwordShield #Pokemon #fakemon #art #pokemongo
The first written and graphic documentation on the discovery of a fragment of dinosaur bone was in 1677. A naturalist of the XVIII called it Scrotum humanum, thinking it was petrified testicles. This fossil, now lost, is probably a Megalosaurus femur. #Dinosaurs #HistSci #NatHist
New #pterosaur! It's been more than 20 years since the discovery of Luchibang. Publication of its discovery was delayed because doubts remained regarding the authenticity of its #fossil, which was in the possession of illegal fossil dealers.

Also his name is Tyranno Hassleberry.
Day 6. I didn't have a favorite fossil, until the fifth generation arrived. A bird fused with a snake yeahh¡¡

For fossil Friday, have a really cool fossil of Horn Coral. Embedded in the rock and largely crystallized. It’s a really neat little fossil, not for the animals in it, but for how they preserved. Devonian, Ontario.

Check out this #livingfossil, Nebalia - they first appeared in the fossil record in the Cambrian and are likely primitive examples of ancient Malacostracans. The are the only extant members of the subclass Phyllocarida. So cool to see!
i really love red pandas. did you know theyre a living fossil, and that they are hardly related to giant pandas, who got the name of 'panda' FROM red pandas?

Living Fossil, a new illustration for the @wowbywow show Microvisions 2. I’ve wanted to draw a baby tapir for a while now, so I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to illustrate this one. Small 8” x 8” prints are here: https://t.co/TWsV26UVXO
New sauropod dinosaur w/super long cervical neural spines! Very cool, but important to note only one long-spined vertebra is preserved--most of neck reconstruction is hypothetical (although plausible). Great skull w/this fossil, also...lots of useful data!

06/31 Coelophysis!
Being my state fossil, I’ve always had a soft spot for coelophysis. It was a swift predator that may or may not have lived in large groups, but regardless, their presence marks a turning point for life on earth: the true dawn of the dinosaurs!
Personal work. A Compsognathus fossil, once thought to be discovered carrying an embryo, was later found to be housing the skeleton of a Bavarisaurus lizard that had been swallowed whole. #vectorthatfox #illustration #dinosaurs
