Had a bit of a play with skin tones putting together the Grymwatch. I wanted to over-emphasise greens, and have just enough regular skintones for the models to occupy an unsettling space between the living and the dead.

Ironically, given the Red Admiral's name, the insect can’t see orange or red - only blues, greens, and yellows!

In practice, I really do like my blues and greens, especially with some earthy tones mixed into the piece, and find them really soothing.

I have not experimented too much with my own art with palettes too much, but I do really hope to soon. 💚

Well often I take a bit of a analytical approach since I don’t properly see a fair chunk of the spectrum. I tend to go with what provides the most contrast between my focal point and subject. That’s said I am one for cooler tones blues, greens, purples altho I do entertain orange https://t.co/Q7UbN0psiT
