The Doctor witnesses Shirlee fail and fall to her death. Stealing a copy of the costume for evidence, she goes to Greer, who confinces her to go to the police, but before she can, Donalbain's goons catch up and nearly kill her.

as you can see, she finds herself being trapped in a traditional marriage, her own hopes and dreams suppressed. It's an aspect that isn't often addressed in later material, but it should give us a strong hint as to why, as Tigra,
