That's because Keiji Inafune made Blues based on both Joe from Cyborg 009 & Hakaider's human form from Android Kikaider, which is another series made by the creator of Cyborg 009 Shotaro Ishinomori. Kikaider has 2 anime series too.

They were series that he grew up with as a kid.

I feel like Capcom, The Megaman Corporation and Keiji Inafune all made a big mistake not giving full on real unrestrained creative direction in the Development room.

For starters, Legends Megaman is still rusting away on the moon and Tron Bonne is still sad.

It's a little simple, but as a bit of a warmup, I tried making the Weapons Archives from Mega Man 10 in the Inafune style! Shame there wasn't official artwork of this thing, I loved its concept.

I drew Rhino Woman for bc they tweeted that they wanted to draw Rhino in inafune style but they didn't know how to draw in the style, so I made an attempt bc i felt like it.

After reading the news of Microsoft buying Zenimax I had a flash of them buying Capcom (won't happen) and resurrecting the idea of a Mega Man X FPS. Capcom killed it after Inafune left but under the right hands could work, look at Metroid Prime. What do you think?
