this tool was so helpful so I wanted to share how I used them. it's great for both sketches and final edits

changing designs:
after the 1st draft I wanted to go to a different direction so I played with liquify, and redrew the lines after I got something I liked.

- messy sketch
- lot of erasing/liquify, try to make it a goal not to hit ctrl+z the entire time (usually fail)
- duplicate sketch layers so the lineart is more clear, mild cleanup
- set a background color, select paint/color relative to that
- draw minor details

Yeah, by smudging the edge of the base layer and by drawing on it, then applied some liquify effects so the brushstrokes are kinda wavy and elongated (surely there’s a better way but lol)

It took you an hour and a half to go from that to that? Lmao. I could do this in less than 10 minutes with the liquify and clone stamp tool in photoshop. Technology is sliding backwards.
