Part western, part sci-fi, a great story, with art that ticks the right boxes, Otomo, Nihei and Moebius. I'd be on board for any indie book Hickman and Dragotta do together, my fave of the past decade.

When I first read Nihei's Blame!, I found the title evoked all these existential ideas like "do we have ourselves to blame for this world," the futility of humanity's ambitions, etc... so it was funny to find out that the title just came from the onamonapia for a gunshot.
