Talking about baby Otus somehow kinda saved me from burnout so I doodled him! I think he'd be very fluffy

Today's Owl-Themed Character of the day is Otus from Owlboy!!

The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (S4) by Gary Gygax. This is the AD&D cover by Erol Otus & one of my favourite modules. How I would have loved to adventure into Iggwilvs lair with Melf.
To hear those stories would be great.

The Froghemoth by Erol Otus is still a favorite of mine. What a wonderfully weird creature!

As far as artistic influences go, my RPG gods are Otus, Trampier & DiTerlizzi. Out of those three, it was that defined an entire generation of the game for me, not only with Planescape, but with the D&D itself. I geek out over his work more than any other.

Here is another great one from Erol Otus for your Sunday morning.
Relax with your morning coffee/tea & start flipping through your old D&D books for the nostalgia even if you don’t play the older editions anymore

It’s Friday morning so here is some classic Erol Otus. This is the cover of the Rogues Gallery. If you don’t have this book, get it if you can! It’s a very handy tool for the DM.

And my four favorite back covers, Willingham Isle of Dread, Otus White Plume, Roslof Forbidden City and Dee Homlett

These may be my four favorite pieces of TTRPG cover art, Roslof's Descent, Otus Forbidden City and Barrier Peaks, and Jeff Dee White Plume Mountain
