it doesn’t have to be real “lines” like here the fire and lightning kinda direct you into the characters faces and then your focus goes down and out bc of their posing. biggest tip is to minimize your art or look at it from a distance or blur your eyes and see what it looks like

I think using bases is a good way to learn anatomy and posing. Imo as long as you don’t sell traced art or try and pass it off as your own untraced work, you’re good. Here’s a piece I used for pose practice. I used it as a very loose reference and changed a few things
