Iniopera is like holocephalans in some ways, e.g. with a jaw fused to the skull Using living chondrichthyans as a comparison we reconstructed the musculature in Iniopera: like living holos it seems to have had a large preorbital origin of the mandibular adductor.6/13
I was painting this one since april. Wanted to test a pipeline with 3D scene. But then 3D model file died and I just reconstructed and repainted everything from scratch by hand, so no 3D modelling is involved here. Some dear memories are expressed here.

@JoschuaKnuppe Lavocatisaurus is pretty similar to Nigersaurus, (which is more complete) but Lavocatisaurus is a bit less extreme. It looks a little off in the published skull reconstruction but the maxillary teeth would be angled futher ventrally, like in Nigersaurus and other sauropods.

My first paper is out!
I had the pleasure of collaborating in (and illustrating) the report of a gannet (Sulidae) from the middle Miocene of Sesimbra, Portugal. Here is the coloured version of my reconstruction of the live animal.

This poor shark swam too close to this basilosaurus family, ending up as a fun chew toy.
The design is based on this reconstruction! https://t.co/iT7KK4aCO3
Good thing you mentioned the Boeotian since I've never really encountered a reconstruction of it as a hat and only a helmet even though most Greek helmets like it along with the Phrygian and Pilos started as hats.
So fsr the only thing I've seen are artistic reconstructions https://t.co/cz3Hd5jpIl
@AkemiArtist @JonnyRollups Hello! I’m not looking for any style in particular, I’m just wondering if existing artist interpretations have included pregnant women in their reconstructions.
@AltHistoryHub is this the geological equivalent of those really bad fossil reconstructions from a century ago
and a speedpaint!
was looking at a bunch of paleoart references and reconstructions for this one
i'm actually floored by this guy, this one quote he drops: "i believe he is completely scarred. [...] he could certainly reconstruct his face, but he chose to keep his scars as a living testament to his vengeance on the world, and specifically, reed richards" LIKE??? HE CALLED IT
