Oh dammit it feels like a futile effort. Every art site alternative I look at has some quirk to it that throws me off.

I like Inkblot but that 5 scheduled uploads thing is criminal.

Its nice IG isn't locking me out anymore but I have to much to resize and upload. I hate this.

there's an option in resize that's like...something about edges. and it enlarges things without filling in pixels. sometimes I need to clean the edges a bit but overall works really well for keeping the appearance

This got me to test image quality on Pillowfort, which I haven't used much yet: while files above a certain size (I tried 5.3MB/2500px, pillowfort resized it to 1.2MB/1400px) are resized heavily, small ones seem to more or less retain their quality. Seems similar to on Mastodon.
