[Personal interpretation] The theme is "Chivalry". And the appearances of Aphelios and Graves are pretty similar to the description of the black knight from "Ivanhoe" by Walter Scott. Whereas Yummi and Zoe are depicted as some kind of royalty, as seen by their diadem or crown.
